Session 1:  Farm Sprayer Safety and New Laws

    Presented by John Pietroski

John will review chemical application safety.  This will include a demonstration on the importance of personal protection during the handling of toxic chemicals to prevent exposure to chemical residue.  This session will give you a unique look at how far pesticides and chemicals can be spread throughout the day if personal safety is not practiced and showing you what could happen as a result of not using personal protection items.

Session 2:  New GPS Data Transfer, Managing and Record keeping for your Farm

    Presented by Douglas Cuffan

Douglas will explain how agricultural drones combined with powerful data analysis and analytics can transform your farm management workflow and save on your bottom line.  Topics include: NDVI vegetation and variability mapping, weed detection, full support for VRT crop input workflows, comparative analysis and savings on labor and field scouting efforts.

Session 3:  Nozzle Technology & Boom Sprayer Calibration

Presented by Bob Bingel & Caragh Fitzgerald

Bob will go over the variety of spray nozzles John Deere provides, showing the different patterns and droplet size between each kind.  This will explain how nozzle selection can affect spray drifting and off target application.  We will demonstrate sprayer calibration process, to help you be sure you are applying your chemicals evenly and at the proper rate.

    Session 4: Dry Application

    Presented by Craig Fenstermaker

Craig will be covering the New Leader G5 spreader box, the latest and most modern spreader on the market today. Section control was limited, able to turn on and off according to boundaries. But not able to change spread width. The days of over application is a thing of the past. We are not only able to change rate of product delivery, but able to narrow up the spread pattern when field application requires it.
